We're Baaaaacccckkkk

Well, school started and we’ve been so incredibly busy. Jeni’s kids came on Monday, mine came on Wednesday (I finally got to take revenge and take a picture of her first day. That is my boring classroom). On Sunday night, my back went completely out and I was so scared that I wouldn’t be able to make it on the first day. On Tuesday, I couldn’t even go into work because I was in so much pain. NOT very good timing for my back to go out! Jeni and my mom kept saying, God’s going to heal you, just watch. I was certainly praying for it, but my back was so bad, I wasn’t too sure if it was going to happen. But, God is faithful even when our faith is lacking! I couldn’t stand straight up on Wednesday, but I was able to sit in a chair and teach all day. Jeni went out and bought me a high bar stool (with a back and arms) and then just propped me up in it. When I did have to get out of the chair, I was so hunched over and I know the kids were wondering what planet I came from! :)
I still have to come straight home and lie down, but by Monday, I am hoping I’ll be 100% by then.
I have all ninth graders and one junior class. They kids are sweet and I’m having a blast with them. I’ll let Jeni tell you about her lil’ munchkins. It’s amazing to me how small everything in her classroom is. Here are some pictures of the final result of her room. It’s so cute, I just want to hang out in there!

We'll update more later. Jeni has some super cute stories. And some funny ones too..... one of her kid's name has 26 letters......

Hey Jill! Haha, too funny... you forgot to mention that someone has to take care of the "ant farm" :). I didn't know you had back problems too (did I? I don't think so). Will you email me? I don't have your email address, but I'd love to hear how your school year is going! Oh, that's actually the one and only original Petie. She took that picture when we were still in Lodi. But he does look skinnier and younger.... maybe we should all get a picture of ourselves with Jeni holding us!
