Cooling Breeze

Isn't it amazing how God speaks to us? It has been s ridiculously hot out here... ok, it hasn't been over 100, my hot-weathered-Californian-friends-and-family, but 99.9% of Hawaii does not have air conditioners. Furthermore, my classroom does not have an air conditioner. So I feel like I've been perpetually hot for the last 30 days. And its a gross, gross feeling. I was just emailing a friend and starting to feel sorry for myself (not about the heat, but about being alone) and God sent the most amazing, flower scented breeze through my window. I haven't felt a breeze like that for months, literally. And it totally made me realize He is here with me.

God knows your troubles, and He is with you today!

"When you pass through deep waters, I am with you,
when you pass through rivers,
they will not sweep you away;
walk through fire and you will not be scorched,
through flames and they will not burn you.
For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel,
your deliverer....

Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea,
and a path through the mighty waters,
who brings forth the chariot and the horse,
the army and the power,
"Do not remember former things,
nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
now it shall spring forth;
shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert."
Isaiah 43:2-3, 16-19
