I have had a lot of people tell me that everyone in Africa is so smiley and looks so happy in these pictures. Well, for those children who are either at the Christian Night Shelter or the Christian Orphanage, that's the joy of the Lord you'll see shining in their eyes. They know a joy so deep and strong- I'm convinced its because they don't have all the "stuff" we have that gets in our way. But for the other people, many of them are smiling because the guy who took these pictures would turn his camera around and show them their face in the viewfinder. Many of them have never seen something like that, and they loved it! But they are a very oppressed people living in a very desolate land and they need our prayers.
