Hey, is anyone wondering why I'm writing so much lately? Well, I'll tell you, Ashley! :) I have nothing else to do! :) Our second semester started last week and I'm teaching a study hall class now instead of English. I have 16 students total spread out throughout six periods. And I have an aide. So my schedule looks like this:
Period 1: 5 kids
Period 2: 3 kids
Period 3: 1 kid
Period 4: 1 kid
Period 5: 3 kids (but one is the WORST case of ADD I've EVER seen, so he counts as more)
Period 6: 3 kids
It's very hectic... ok, actually, it's not hectic at all. Right now, my one student and my aide are sitting at the table reading books. And I am here writing. And that is pretty much how my day goes.... rough life. :)
Jeni, on the other hand, has a much more hectic schedule, at school and after school... so it looks like your stuck with me and my looooooooooonnnggg posts and bad pictures for a while!

Wow...no doubt your nights and weekends are spent preparing for such a tough schedule. Really, though, I don't know how you can, in good conscience, accept a paycheck. That must really be weighing on your heart.
I just love your stories about school. you are the "cool" teacher who approves of kids climbing on the roof. Forever those kids will remember you as the teacher that they liked because you didn't reek havic in their lives. haha. keep up the good work!!
Hey Lindsay, thanks for calling me cool!!! But.... I don't think that's quite what is going on.... hahaha... more like I just don't want to deal with :). Yesterday, though, I saw like 18 kids in the gas station and decided that definitely... maybe... pretty soon... one of these days... I'm gonna tell someone :).
Jill.... I'm sorry about my schedule- I know you regular ed teachers are working WAY harder than me. I rarely talk about it with Jeni because I know she works so much harder than me every day. I feel bad saying I'm tired or anything. All I can say is that I think Special Ed teachers have been keeping a REALLY big secret from us for years... 16 kids total... and an aide.... why didn't we ever think about this before???? Something to think about- I feel like I've cracked the code or something :).
I don't know how I do this, but I'll mentally "write" something to you, but I guess I forget to actually comment. I read your blog all the time though, and I'm really really really dying to hear what else is new with you two! Love you girls!
