Our parents came to visit us for Thanksgiving. It was awesome!! We got to hang out with them for 8 days. It was eight days of laughter, eating, and even a couple tears.
I didn't realize how awesome my parents were till I went to college. When you're raised with something you don't know anything different and therefore can't completely appreciate it (I think). In college, I didn't have my parents right there. And I missed them tremendously. I missed seeing them all the time. But we were able to talk on the phone and I went home every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter Break, and summer. And they always traveled to Boise or other schools to watch our games. But even still, I missed them a ton. And now... the time I get to see them is even less. Jaime and I have really been missing them.
All that to say, it was SUPER nice having our parents here.
